What it is
Bottom insulation section for the Vaillant allSTOR VPS 300/3-5 cylinder, supplied under part number 0020174770. It fits at the base of the 300 litre cylinder and limits heat loss from the lower section. Manufactured by Vaillant for the allSTOR VPS range.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Cracks, crumbling or compressed insulation at the base of the cylinder
- Damp or water-stained insulation around the cylinder base
- Exposed cylinder shell where the bottom insulation has broken away
- Increased standing heat loss from the cylinder
- Higher energy use to hold the cylinder at temperature
Before you order
- Check the cylinder data plate confirms the model as VPS 300/3-5
- Confirm the damaged section is the bottom insulation rather than the side or top
- Confirm the cylinder capacity is 300 litres
- Inspect the base of the cylinder for water ingress or corrosion before fitting
