What it is

The Vaillant 0020173393 is a fan gasket used on ecoTEC VU GB open-vent boiler models. It seals the fan mounting face, preventing flue gas and air leakage at the joint. It is a service part intended for replacement when the fan is removed or the existing seal has degraded.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Visible cracking, flattening or hardening of the gasket material
  • Traces of flue gas leakage or staining around the fan mounting face
  • Gasket damaged or torn during fan removal or refitting
  • Combustion readings outside the expected range after fan work
  • Audible leakage or whistling at the fan joint

Before you order

  • Confirm the boiler model and GC number against the appliance data badge
  • Check the existing gasket profile matches the fan mounting face
  • Verify the part number 0020173393 on the current component or parts list
  • Inspect the fan and mounting face for damage before refitting
