What it is
The Vaillant 0020160113 is an ignition lead used on Ecomax PRO VU series gas boilers. It carries the high-voltage spark from the ignition source to the burner, so the appliance can light on demand. This lead supersedes part number 091560.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler fails to ignite and locks out on a repeated basis
- No spark at the electrode when the ignition sequence runs
- Visible cracking, charring or brittleness in the lead insulation
- Spark tracking or arcing to earth along the length of the lead
- Intermittent ignition that worsens in damp conditions
Before you order
- Confirm your appliance model and GC number against the fitment list above
- Check the existing lead's part number, including any superseded number printed on it
- Inspect the electrode and ignition source as well, since ignition faults are not always confined to the lead
- Verify the lead routing and connector type match the appliance before fitting
