What it is

A sealing ring supplied by Vaillant under part number 0020143526. It is used on ecoTEC VU 806, 1006 and 1206 series boilers to seal a joint against water or gas leakage. The ring is a service item and is replaced when the existing seal is no longer sound.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Water weeping or a visible trace of moisture around the joint the ring seals
  • The ring has hardened, flattened or lost its elasticity
  • Cracking, perishing or deformation visible on the ring surface
  • Scale or mineral build-up on the sealing face
  • Repeated pressure loss traced to the sealed joint

Before you order

  • Confirm your boiler model against the fit list above before ordering
  • Check how many rings the job requires against the pack quantity supplied
  • Inspect the mating faces for corrosion, scoring or damage before fitting a new ring
  • Check the manufacturer's parts list for your exact model if it is not listed above
