What it is

The Vaillant 0020143498 is a seal kit supplied by Vaillant for use on ecoTEC VU 806/5-5 gas boilers. It falls within the O-rings, washers and gaskets category of boiler spares and is used to reseal joints and connections during service or repair work. The kit is intended for the VU 806/5-5 range across R2, R3 and R4 build variants.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Visible water weeping or dripping from a sealed joint on the appliance
  • Seals that have hardened, flattened, cracked or perished with age
  • Damp staining, scale trails or corrosion residue around a joint face
  • Repeated loss of system pressure with no other obvious cause
  • Seals disturbed or damaged during servicing, making reuse unsuitable

Before you order

  • Check the model and GC number on the appliance data badge against the fitment list above
  • Confirm the build variant (R2, R3 or R4), as the kit is listed across these revisions
  • Identify which joints are being resealed so the correct seals are available for the task
  • Inspect the mating surfaces for pitting, scale or distortion before fitting new seals
