What it is
The Vaillant 0020143464 is an ignition wiring harness for the ecoTEC VU range of open-vent gas boilers. It carries the ignition circuit between the control board and the ignition electrode, so the boiler can spark and light the burner. It is supplied as the harness only.

- Boiler fails to light, with no spark at the ignition electrode
- Intermittent ignition lockout that clears on reset
- Frayed, heat-damaged or brittle insulation on the ignition lead
- Cracked or loose plug or terminal at the ignition electrode or board end
- Continuity fault on the ignition circuit when the harness is tested
