What it is
The Vaillant 0020135119 is an ignition cable, also known as an HT lead, used on Vaillant gas boilers. It carries the high-tension spark from the ignition source to the spark electrode at the burner so the appliance can light when there is a demand for heat or hot water. The lead is used across the Vaillant ecoTEC Plus family and a number of related models.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler fails to light, or lights only intermittently
- Repeated ignition lockout with no spark at the electrode
- Visible arcing, tracking or scorch marks along the length of the lead
- Cracked, brittle or heat-damaged insulation on the cable
- Ignition faults that persist after the electrode and its gap have been checked
