What it is
The Vaillant 0020127787 is a propeller for the geoTHERM VWL range of air source heat pumps. It is the fan blade that draws air across the outdoor unit's heat exchanger, and it is driven by the unit's fan motor. It is listed by Vaillant under the VWL 45/1, 65/1 and 75/1 A 230V models.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible cracks, chips or missing sections on the blades
- Excessive fan noise or a rhythmic knocking from the outdoor unit
- Vibration through the casing that was not present before
- Reduced airflow at the outdoor unit, with the fan turning slowly or unevenly
- Blade distortion or imbalance causing the fan to run rough
Before you order
- Confirm the model on the appliance data plate matches one of the VWL 45/1, 65/1 or 75/1 A 230V variants listed above
- Check the part number 0020127787 against the manufacturer's parts list for your unit
- Inspect the fan motor shaft, mounting boss and fixings for damage or wear before fitting a new propeller
- Check that the fan motor itself is serviceable, as a failed motor can damage a replacement propeller
