What it is
The Vaillant 0020127603 is a gasket for the heating rod on Vaillant VIH-series cylinders. It seals the heating rod connection to the cylinder, preventing water loss at the boss. It is a service part for the auroSTOR, uniSTOR and Vantage cylinder families.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or dripping from around the heating rod boss
- Damp staining, corrosion or scale deposits around the heating rod connection
- Gasket visibly hardened, cracked or flattened once the joint is opened
- Leak that appears or worsens while the cylinder is heating
- Water tracking down the cylinder casing below the heating rod
Before you order
- Confirm the model number on the cylinder data plate matches one of the appliances listed
- Check the heating rod boss and its seating face for corrosion or damage before refitting
- Confirm part number 0020127603 against the manufacturer's parts list for your model
- Consider whether the heating rod itself also needs replacing at the same time
