What it is
The Glow-worm 0020118640 is a three-way diverter valve motor used on Glow-worm combi boiler ranges. It drives the diverter valve head to switch the boiler between domestic hot water and central heating operation. This part supersedes 0020061621.
Signs this part needs replacing
- No hot water while the heating is running, or heating running when only hot water is demanded
- The valve head does not move when the boiler changes mode
- Motor hums or buzzes but the spindle does not turn
- Valve stuck in one position, giving constant heating or constant hot water
- Intermittent hot water and heating switching faults
