What it is
The Gasket Panel 0020097243 is a Glow-worm sealing gasket used on Ultracom 2 gas boilers. It seals the joint at the panel face where the component is mounted, preventing leakage of flue gases or water at that connection. It is a service item that should be renewed whenever the joint is disturbed.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible cracking, splitting or compression set on the gasket face
- Hardened or brittle material that no longer seals under compression
- Staining, soot marks or moisture tracking around the panel joint
- Water weeping or drips at the panel connection
- Gasket disturbed or removed during servicing and not renewed
Before you order
- Confirm the boiler model against the rating plate — this gasket covers the Ultracom 2 range only
- Check the GC number on the appliance matches the model listed
- Inspect the old gasket and compare it against the part number 0020097243 before ordering
- Confirm whether any additional seals or fixings are required for the same repair
