What it is
The Vaillant insulation top, part number 0020085702, is the moulded insulation cap that fits over the top of the Allstor VPS 2000/2 unvented cylinder. It reduces standing heat loss from the upper dome of the cylinder and protects the exposed top surface. The part is supplied by Vaillant for this appliance family.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The insulation cap is cracked, split or crumbling
- Material has broken away, leaving the cylinder top exposed
- Visible damp or condensation on the top of the cylinder
- Increased standing heat loss from the cylinder
- Debris from degraded insulation falling onto the cylinder or surrounding area
Before you order
- Confirm the cylinder model is an Allstor VPS 2000/2
- Check the existing part number against the manufacturer's parts list for your appliance
- Inspect the cylinder top to confirm the insulation cap is the component at fault
