What it is
This is a casing supplied by Vaillant under part number 0020085697. It forms the outer enclosure for the Allstor VPS 2000/2 cylinder, protecting the internal components and insulation. The casing also gives the installed cylinder its finished appearance.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible corrosion, rust staining or blistering on the casing panels
- Dents, buckling or deformation that prevents the panels sitting correctly
- Cracks, splits or holes allowing water to reach the insulation or internal parts
- Damaged, seized or missing fixings so the casing no longer secures properly
- Panels that no longer align, leaving gaps around the cylinder
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model and variant on the data plate matches the fitment listed above
- Check the existing part number against the manufacturer's parts list for your cylinder
- Inspect the fixings and surrounding panels, as these may also need attention
