What it is
The Vaillant 0020081567 is a condensate trap used on Ecomax and ecoTEC Exclusive gas boilers. It collects condensate produced in the flue and heat exchanger and discharges it to the drainage point. It is a serviceable component and is removed or refitted during condensate-related maintenance.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Condensate leaking from the trap body or its connections
- Water pooling around the boiler base or beneath the appliance
- Gurgling or bubbling noises from the condensate route
- Boiler lockout or fault codes linked to blocked condensate
- Sludge or debris visible inside the trap, restricting flow
Before you order
- Confirm the boiler model and GC number against the manufacturer's parts list
- Check the existing trap for cracks, hardened seals or blocked waterways
- Verify the condensate pipework and drainage route are clear before fitting
- Confirm the trap is accessible and that the boiler can be isolated and drained safely
