What it is
The Glow-worm 0020079644 is a central heating pressure sensor used across the Flexicom, Ultracom, Betacom, Easicom, Ultimate and Ultrapower boiler ranges. It monitors the water pressure in the heating circuit and signals the boiler's control board. A correct reading allows the boiler to run; a faulty sensor can cause lockouts or pressure-related fault codes.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler locks out or displays a low-pressure fault despite the system being correctly filled
- Displayed pressure differs noticeably from the reading on the external pressure gauge
- Pressure reading on the boiler display is erratic or does not change when the system is topped up
- Boiler fails to fire or cuts out intermittently with a pressure-related fault code
