What it is
The double sensing point is a Vaillant component used on Combicompact and VCW series combination boilers. It forms part of the boiler's sensing circuit, working with the ignition and flame monitoring arrangement to confirm the burner is lit. It is supplied under Vaillant part number 0020075391.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler lights but shuts down shortly afterwards as flame is not confirmed.
- Repeated lockouts on ignition, requiring manual reset.
- Intermittent or failed ignition with no follow-on burner operation.
- Erratic running that clears when the sensing connection is disturbed or cleaned.
Before you order
- Confirm the boiler model against the fit list above, as several VCW variants use different arrangements.
- Check the existing sensing point and its lead for contamination, cracking or a loose connection before condemning the part.
- Note the appliance GC number where available to confirm the correct variant.
- Verify the Vaillant part number 0020075391 matches the item being replaced.
