What it is
The Vaillant 0020050744 is a gasket used in VUI 362-7 and Aquaplus VUI 362-7 appliances. It forms a seal between mating surfaces within the appliance, preventing water or flue gas escape at the joint it serves. It is a service part intended for replacement when the existing seal degrades.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or dripping from the joint the gasket seals
- The gasket has hardened, flattened or cracked with age
- Scale, corrosion or debris built up around the sealing face
- Water staining or damp patches around the appliance casing
- Pressure loss with no other obvious cause
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model matches one of the fitments listed above
- Check the part number against the existing gasket or the manufacturer's parts list
- Inspect the sealing faces for corrosion or pitting before fitting a new gasket
