What it is

The Vaillant 0020045975 is an O-ring supplied in a pack of 10. It is a sealing component used on Vaillant gas boilers in the VU 466 and VU 656 appliance families, where it forms a seal between mating faces to prevent leaks.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Visible water or gas-side weeping at the joint the O-ring seals
  • The O-ring is flattened, hardened or has taken a permanent set
  • Cracking, splitting or surface perishing on the ring
  • Discolouration or swelling of the rubber
  • The O-ring is missing or damaged after the joint has been disturbed

Before you order

  • Confirm your appliance model against the fit list above
  • Check the quantity required for the joint being worked on, as the pack contains 10
  • Inspect the mating faces for corrosion or scoring before fitting a new O-ring
  • Have the appliance's parts list to hand to confirm the correct part number
