What it is
The Vaillant vortex sensor DN15 is a flow-sensing component used in selected Vaillant appliances. It monitors water flow through the DN15 connection and feeds that signal back to the appliance control. It is fitted across both EcoTEC Exclusive condensing boilers and Arotherm PLUS heat pumps.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Domestic hot water temperature fluctuating or running hot and cold during draw-off
- The appliance failing to register a hot water draw-off when a tap is opened
- Fault codes logged against the flow sensor or flow measurement circuit
- Intermittent or unreliable hot water operation that clears when the appliance is reset
- Flow readings that do not match the actual draw-off rate at the outlet
Before you order
- Check the model and GC number on the appliance data plate against the fit list above
- Confirm the sensor connection is DN15 on your appliance before ordering
- Inspect the sensor and its wiring for debris, scale or damaged connections before condemning the part
- Confirm the part number 0020045923 matches the number shown in the manufacturer's parts list for your model
