What it is

This is a pipe assembly manufactured by Vaillant, listed under part number 0020039788. It is used on Vaillant ecoTEC PLUS and ecoTEC gas boilers, and also on the Unistor cylinder range. The pipe carries water or gas within the appliance hydraulics or gas train, depending on its position in the boiler.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Visible corrosion, pitting or surface degradation on the pipe wall
  • Water weeping or a damp trace at a compression or soldered joint
  • Scale or debris build-up restricting flow through the pipe bore
  • Unexplained pressure loss traced to the pipe run
  • Discolouration or heat damage around the pipe or its connections

Before you order

  • Confirm the appliance model and version against the fit list above
  • Check the GC number of the boiler to verify the correct variant
  • Compare the existing pipe against the part number before removal
  • Inspect the adjacent joints and seals for damage that may also need attention
