What it is
The pressure relief valve is a safety component manufactured by Glow-worm for use on Clearly Solar appliances. It opens automatically when system pressure rises above the valve's set point, discharging water to relieve the excess and protect the appliance and associated components from over-pressurisation.

- Water continually dripping or running from the discharge pipe when the system is at normal pressure

- The valve failing to reseat after it has operated
- Scale, debris or corrosion visible around the valve seat or outlet
- Weeping from the valve body or its connections
