What it is
A Glow-worm system pressure sensor, part 0020038532 (manufacturer reference GW95.0252). Pressure sensors monitor the water pressure in a sealed central heating system and signal the boiler's control board so it can shut down if pressure runs outside a safe range.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler shows a low- or high-pressure fault despite the system being correctly filled
- Pressure reading on the boiler display fluctuates or drops to zero
- Boiler locks out intermittently with no leak found
- Heating or hot water cuts out without warning
Before you order
- Confirm the part number on your existing sensor reads 0020038532
- Check the system is correctly pressurised before assuming the sensor has failed
- Isolate electrical power before removing the old sensor; fitting should be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer
