What it is
The Glow-worm tundish 0020038186 is a discharge fitting used on the BG330 PLUS appliance family. It provides a visible air gap in the relief valve discharge pipework, so any discharge from the safety valve can be seen and safely channelled away. It is a serviceable component in the discharge path.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Cracking, splitting or deformation of the tundish body
- Water escaping from the tundish instead of passing cleanly to the drain
- Heavy scale or debris build-up restricting the air gap
- Discolouration or corrosion of the fitting
- Persistent discharge at the tundish, indicating the relief valve is passing
