What it is
This is Glow-worm's pressure relief valve. It protects the boiler's sealed system by venting water as pressure rises, preventing a dangerous pressure build-up inside the appliance.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water dripping or discharging continuously from the pressure relief pipe outside
- Boiler losing pressure repeatedly with no visible leak elsewhere
- Valve fails to vent when system pressure is high
- Visible corrosion, scale or damage around the valve body
