What it is
The Vaillant 0020025066 is a heat exchanger supplied for the Recovair range of heat recovery ventilation units. It sits within the appliance and transfers heat between the outgoing stale air and the incoming fresh air. It is a serviceable component, so replacement is required when the matrix becomes fouled, damaged or blocked.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Noticeable drop in heat recovery performance, with supply air noticeably colder than expected
- Condensation, dampness or moisture carryover around the unit or ductwork
- Visible damage, crushing or distortion of the exchanger matrix
- Heavy build-up of dust, dirt or debris that cannot be cleaned out
- Restricted airflow through the unit despite filters being clean
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model and variant, as the Recovair 275/3 and 275/3 R1 are listed separately
- Check the unit's data plate and any serial or model information before ordering
- Inspect the existing exchanger and its housing for damage that may also need attention
- Confirm the part number 0020025066 matches the component being removed
