What it is
The Glow-worm 0020020768 is a five-pole terminal strip rated for 230V with an earth connection. It is used in Glow-worm Flexicom gas boilers to terminate and secure the mains electrical connections within the appliance. The strip provides a fixed, screw-clamped interface between the boiler wiring and the incoming supply.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible scorching, charring or melting around one or more terminals
- Discoloured or brittle insulation where conductors enter the strip
- Loose or stripped clamping screws that will not hold a conductor securely
- Intermittent power or fault codes traced to a poor mains connection at the strip
- Signs of arcing, pitting or corrosion on the terminal contacts
Before you order
- Confirm your boiler model against the fit list above
- Check the existing strip has five poles and an earth terminal before removal
- Isolate the electrical supply to the boiler and verify dead before working on the wiring
- Note the conductor positions before disconnecting to ensure correct reconnection
