What it is

The Glow-worm zig ignitor clip (part number 0020020764) is a retaining clip that holds the zig ignitor in position on compatible Glow-worm gas boilers. It keeps the ignition electrode correctly located so it can spark reliably at the burner. The clip is classified under screws, nuts, bolts and clips.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The ignitor is loose, misaligned or able to move in its mounting
  • The boiler fails to light or locks out intermittently
  • Sparking is weak, erratic or absent at the electrode
  • The clip is corroded, cracked or heat-damaged
  • The clip is missing or has been lost during servicing

Before you order

  • Confirm your boiler model and GC number against the fitment list above
  • Check the existing clip or the manufacturer's parts list for part number 0020020764
  • Inspect the ignitor and electrode for wear, as these may also need attention
  • Check whether the clip is supplied as part of a larger ignition assembly on your appliance
