What it is
A Glow-worm sealing washer, part number 0020020755, supplied for use in the manufacturer's gas boiler ranges. It sits within a water or gas joint on the appliance, where it compresses to form a seal and prevent weeping at the connection. It is listed under O-rings, washers and gaskets in the boiler spares category.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Dampness or a visible weep around the joint the washer seals
- A slow drip or a trace of water staining beneath the connection
- The washer has hardened, flattened or cracked with age and no longer compresses
- Scale, corrosion or debris is present on the sealing face
- A leak appears at the joint after the appliance has been serviced or disturbed
Before you order
- Confirm your appliance model and GC number against the fit list above
- Check the part number 0020020755 against the manufacturer's parts list for your boiler
- Inspect the joint before ordering, as a leaking connection may need more than the washer alone
- Have the appliance isolated and depressurised before any work on the joint
