What it is
The Glow-worm 0020020729 is a burner seal (burner gasket) for Glow-worm gas boilers. It sits at the burner mounting face and seals the joint against the combustion chamber, preventing combustion products escaping at that point. It is listed by the manufacturer under the burner category of gas boiler spares.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The seal is cracked, hardened, flattened or otherwise visibly degraded
- Soot or staining is present around the burner mounting face
- Combustion readings fall outside the manufacturer's stated tolerance
- There is a smell of combustion products around the appliance casing
- The seal was disturbed or damaged during burner removal or servicing
Before you order
- Confirm your boiler model and GC number against the fitment list above
- Check the part number against the existing seal or the manufacturer's parts list for your appliance
- A burner seal should be renewed whenever the burner is removed
