What it is
The Glow-worm 0020020728 is a burner assembly used in Glow-worm gas boilers. It sits within the combustion chamber and delivers the gas/air mixture to the flame, so it directly affects ignition, flame stability and combustion quality. It is listed for the Flexicom range as well as the BG330 PLUS and Ultimate 24H appliances.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Repeated flame failure or ignition lockout after the burner has been checked and cleaned
- Visible distortion, cracking or corrosion on the burner body or its surface
- Sooting or discolouration around the burner, indicating poor combustion
- Unstable or uneven flame pattern across the burner
- Combustion readings that cannot be brought within tolerance by servicing alone
Before you order
- Confirm the boiler model and GC number on the appliance data plate against the fit list above
- Check the existing burner against the part number 0020020728 before removal
- Confirm whether the burner is being replaced as part of a combustion-related fault, and complete the relevant flue gas analysis after fitting
- Burner replacement is a gas-carrying task and should be carried out by a competent, registered engineer
