What it is

The control wiring harness, part number 0020019799, is a Glow-worm wiring assembly used on GW CXi series gas boilers. It carries control signals and connections between the boiler's control components and the main wiring loom. It is supplied as a service part for repair and replacement work on the GW CXi range.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The boiler fails to power up or the controls do not respond
  • Intermittent operation or faults that change when the harness or its plugs are moved
  • Visible damage to the harness, such as chafed, burnt or brittle insulation
  • Loose, corroded or heat-damaged connectors on the harness
  • Repeated control-related fault codes after other components have been checked

Before you order

  • Confirm the boiler model matches one of the GW CXi appliances listed above
  • Check the part number on the existing harness or boiler data label where it is visible
  • Inspect the connectors on the existing harness so the replacement matches the fitment
  • Isolate the electrical supply to the boiler before removing or fitting any wiring
