What it is
The Glow-worm 0020018828 is a fan assembly used on the Glow-worm Xtramax HE gas boiler. It draws combustion air into the burner and drives flue gases out through the flue system. The fan also provides the air pressure signal the boiler needs to prove airflow before it will ignite.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler locks out or fails to fire, with a fan or air pressure related fault code
- Grinding, rumbling or squealing from the fan housing when the boiler runs
- Fan does not turn at all when the boiler calls for heat
- Repeated lockouts that clear on reset but return on the next demand
- Whistling or excessive vibration transmitted through the flue
Before you order
