What it is
This is a fan gasket manufactured by Glow-worm, listed under part number 0020018826. It seals the fan assembly to its mounting face on the appliance, preventing flue gases and condensate from escaping at the joint. It is used on the Glow-worm Xtramax HE boiler family.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible cracking, hardening or perishing of the gasket material
- Soot or condensate staining around the fan mounting face
- Flue gas odour or leakage detected at the fan joint
- Whistling or unusual noise from the fan area under operation
