What it is
The Glow-worm 0020018823 is a gas section kit for the G20 (natural gas) gas valve assembly rated at 35kW. It forms the gas-carrying section of the valve on Glow-worm GW 38CXI, Ultracom 38CXI and Xtramax HE boilers, controlling gas flow to the burner. The kit supersedes the earlier code 802172.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler fails to ignite or the burner will not light despite a call for heat.
- Repeated flame-failure or ignition lockouts that clear only after a reset.
- No gas is delivered to the burner when the valve is energised.
- Whistling, humming or clicking from the gas valve area during operation.
