What it is
An 18mm clip for the domestic hot water sensor, manufactured by Glow-worm and supplied in a pack of 10. It holds the DHW sensor in position against the pipework so the sensor reads cylinder or store temperature accurately. It is used across a number of Glow-worm boiler and store models.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The clip is cracked, brittle or has snapped, leaving the sensor loose on the pipe.
- The sensor can be moved by hand or has slipped out of position.
- Inconsistent or inaccurate hot water temperature readings from a poorly seated sensor.
- The clip has corroded or deformed and no longer grips the pipe.
- The sensor has been disturbed during servicing and the existing clip will not hold it securely.
