What it is
The Glow-worm insulation door (part number 0020018425) is a moulded insulation panel that fits to the combustion chamber door on a range of Glow-worm gas boilers. It holds heat inside the combustion chamber, limiting heat loss through the door and helping the appliance maintain stable combustion. This part replaces the earlier code 0020038068.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible cracking, crumbling or breakdown of the insulation panel
- Discolouration or scorching across the insulation surface
- Insulation material flaking or falling away from the door
- Distortion or heat damage around the door and its fixings
- Poor heat retention or combustion readings after the door is disturbed
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model against the fit list above
- Check the existing panel for the part number or the replaced code 0020038068
- Inspect the combustion chamber door and its fixings for damage before refitting
