What it is
This is the ignition lead that connects the spark electrode to the ignition circuit on Ravenheat Little Star, Silver Star and White Star LS series gas boilers. It carries the high-voltage spark that lights the burner at start-up. The lead is supplied as a single cable assembly for the spark electrode.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler fails to ignite, with no spark at the electrode
- Repeated lockout on start-up despite the electrode and burner being clean
- Visible cracking, charring or brittle insulation on the lead
- Spark tracking or arcing to earth along the cable instead of at the electrode tip
- Intermittent ignition that worsens in damp conditions
