What it is
This is the ignition lead sensing electrode for Ravenheat gas boilers, supplied under part number 0012CAV09005/1. It carries the ignition spark to the burner and returns the flame sensing signal to the control board. It is used across the Ravenheat Little Star, Silver Star and White Star LS appliance families.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler fails to ignite, with no spark at the electrode.
- Repeated flame failure or ignition lockout shortly after the burner lights.
- Intermittent starting, where the boiler sometimes fires and sometimes does not.
- Visible damage to the lead insulation, such as cracking, scorching or chafing.
- Loose, corroded or poor connections at the electrode or control board end.
