What it is
The sensing cable is a Ravenheat electrode lead, supplied under part number 0012CAV08005/0. It connects the sensing electrode to the boiler's control circuit so that flame presence can be monitored during and after ignition. It is used across the Little STAR, Silver STAR and White STAR appliance families.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler locks out shortly after the burner lights
- Intermittent flame detection faults or repeated lockouts during operation
- Heat-damaged, brittle or cracked insulation along the lead
- Corroded, loose or discoloured terminal connections at either end
- Visible damage to the cable or its connector
