What it is
The Vaillant 0010046202 is a grommet used on Arotherm and Arotherm PLUS air source heat pumps. It seals and protects the point where pipework or cabling passes through a panel, preventing chafing and limiting the ingress of water and draughts. It is a small consumable item that is replaced when the original has hardened, split or perished.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The grommet is cracked, split or visibly perished
- The rubber has hardened and no longer seals against the pipe or cable
- Water, draughts or debris are passing through the panel opening
- The pipe or cable has started to chafe where it passes through the panel
- The grommet has come loose or dropped out of its location
Before you order
- Confirm your appliance model against the fitment list above
- Identify the correct grommet position on your unit, as more than one may be fitted
- Inspect the old grommet for size and condition before removal so the new one seats correctly
- Check the surrounding pipe or cable for damage that may have been caused by a failed grommet
