What it is
The Vaillant 0010034453 is an inverter module used in Vaillant Arotherm PLUS air source heat pumps. It forms part of the drive electronics that regulate the speed of the compressor and fan motor on 230V single-phase models. This lets the heat pump modulate its output to match the heating demand of the property instead of running at a fixed rate.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The heat pump fails to start, or shuts down shortly after start-up
- A fault code relating to the inverter or compressor drive appears on the controls
- The compressor or fan does not run even when there is a call for heat
- Intermittent running, with the unit tripping repeatedly
- Reduced or no heating and hot water output from the appliance
Before you order
- Check the model and serial number on the appliance data plate to confirm it is an Arotherm PLUS /6 unit
- Confirm the part number 0010034453 against the manufacturer's parts list for your model
- Verify the appliance is a 230V single-phase version
- Fitting should be carried out by a competent heating engineer
