What it is
The Vaillant 0010029269 is a gasket for the ignition electrode used on EcoTec and EcoTec PLUS gas boilers. It seals the electrode where it passes into the combustion chamber, keeping the joint gas-tight. The gasket is a service item and is normally renewed whenever the ignition electrode is removed or replaced.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The gasket is cracked, perished or visibly hardened
- Staining or soot marking around the electrode entry point
- The electrode has been removed for inspection or replacement
- The gasket no longer sits flat and will not seal correctly on refitting
Before you order
- Confirm your boiler model against the fitment list above
- Check the appliance's GC number against your boiler's data badge
- Inspect the ignition electrode and its mounting arrangement before ordering
- Have the combustion chamber seal checked at the same time if the electrode is disturbed
