What it is
A sealing gasket for the ionisation electrode, manufactured by Vaillant under part number 0010029268. It seals the electrode where it passes through the combustion chamber or burner housing on Ecotec Cs/1-5 (2023) appliances. The gasket maintains a gas-tight and moisture-tight joint around the electrode so flame sensing remains stable.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Flame detection faults or intermittent ionisation readings
- Ignition lockout codes appearing after the electrode has been disturbed
- Visible cracking, hardening or flattening of the gasket
- Traces of moisture, condensate or soot around the electrode entry point
- Gasket damaged or deformed during electrode removal or refitting
Before you order
- Confirm your boiler model and GC number against the fit list above
- Check the part number on the existing gasket or electrode assembly
- Inspect the electrode itself for wear, as it may need replacing at the same time
- Confirm the appliance is the Cs/1-5 (2023) variant, as earlier Ecotec versions use different parts
