What it is
The Vaillant Hydroblock (part number 0010028553) is a hydraulic assembly used in Vaillant EcoTEC PLUS combination boilers. It forms the central water circuit block through which heating and domestic hot water pass, carrying the connections and internal waterways that the appliance relies on. It is specified for the 2023 Cs/1-5 variants of the EcoTEC PLUS 826, 832, 836 and 840.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or staining around the hydroblock body or its pipe connections
- System pressure dropping repeatedly and needing frequent topping up
- Scale or debris restricting flow, giving reduced hot water output
- Unusual noise from the hydraulic block during heating or hot water demand
- Corrosion, cracking or distortion on the block housing
Before you order
- Confirm the boiler model and GC number against the fit list above
- Check that the part number on the existing component matches 0010028553
- Verify the appliance is a 2023 Cs/1-5 variant, as other EcoTEC PLUS versions use different hydraulic assemblies
- Allow for isolating and draining the appliance before fitting
