What it is
The Ravenheat pressure relief valve, part 0008VAL01018/1, is a 3 bar safety valve fitted to the hydraulic circuit of Ravenheat combination and combi-store appliances. It lifts at its set pressure to discharge water and protect the boiler, cylinder and connected pipework from over-pressurisation. Both the inlet and outlet use push fit connections.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water running from the pressure relief discharge pipe when the appliance is not overheating
- System pressure rising steadily, or the gauge reading climbing without the valve lifting
- Dripping or weeping from the valve body or around its push fit connections
- Boiler pressure dropping repeatedly, needing frequent top-ups from the filling loop
- Scale, debris or staining visible around the valve seat or outlet

- Older stock may carry the previous number VAL010181 on the valve or packaging
- Confirm the push fit connections match the pipework and fittings on the appliance
- Inspect the surrounding seals and connections, as these are disturbed when the valve is removed
