What it is
The Ravenheat clip-on sensor, part number 0007SON11010/0, is a thermistor that clips onto the pipework or heat exchanger surface and reports temperature back to the boiler's electronic control. Its resistance falls as the sensed temperature rises, so the control can read the change in current and decide whether more or less heat is needed. It is used across Ravenheat's Combistore and CS appliance families.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler fires and then cuts out before the system reaches its set temperature.
- Domestic hot water temperature swings between hot and cold, or runs consistently cool.
- The appliance locks out or displays a fault code linked to temperature sensing.
- Radiators heat unevenly, or the boiler short cycles on and off.
- No heating or hot water demand is registered by the control.
