What it is
The Ravenheat 0005PRE05006/0 is an air pressure switch supplied with a Huba mounting bracket. It is fitted across the Ravenheat CSI 85 and CSI 85B appliance family, where it proves that the combustion fan is moving air before the boiler is allowed to fire.
The switch is pressure-operated: when the fan develops sufficient pressure, the contacts close and complete the safety circuit so the gas valve can open. If that pressure signal is lost, the boiler shuts down and locks out instead of firing without proven airflow.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler locks out or fails to ignite while the fan is still running
- Repeated lockouts on start-up that clear after a reset but return
- The appliance fires intermittently, or not at all, on a call for heat
- The fan runs continuously without the burner lighting
- A fault code is displayed that points to an air pressure or fan proving fault
