What it is
The CR2032 is Energizer's 3V lithium manganese dioxide coin cell, commonly used to power boiler controllers, thermostats and other small electronic devices that need long-life backup power.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Thermostat or controller display is blank, dim or flickering
- Device loses its clock/programme settings after a power cut
- Low-battery warning shown on the display
