What it is

The Worcester Bosch 87161066330 is an air pressure switch used on Greenstar gas boilers. It monitors the pressure or flow of air through the combustion circuit and signals the control board that the fan is proving correctly before the boiler is allowed to light. A working switch keeps the ignition sequence dependable and shuts the appliance down safely when air flow is not established.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The boiler locks out or fails to fire after the fan has started running.
  • Repeated lockouts on start-up that clear on reset but return on the next demand.
  • The fan runs continuously without the ignition sequence completing.
  • Intermittent fault codes relating to air flow, fan proving or pressure.
  • The boiler fires erratically or drops out part-way through a heating or hot water demand.

Before you order

  • Check the GC number and the appliance data plate to confirm this switch matches your model.
  • Cross-check the numbers on the switch being removed against 1015003, N6566 and WB87161066330.
  • This part is fitted to a gas appliance; installation must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
