What it is
A Vaillant grommet, part number 0020265380, listed by the manufacturer as a cable bushing. It fits through the appliance casing to protect and seal the cable entry point on Ecomax and Ecotec VU/VUW boilers. Supplied as a pack of five.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The grommet is split, cracked or perished, leaving the cable entry unsealed
- The grommet has hardened and no longer grips the cable or casing aperture
- The grommet has been pulled out of the casing panel and will not seat
- Cable insulation is chafing against a bare casing edge where the grommet has failed
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model and GC number against the manufacturer's parts list
- Check the existing grommet position and aperture size before removing it
- Note that this part is supplied in a pack of five, so check how many entry points need covering
